 Garden Tour One Starting from Truro ... but we can start at your hotel/B&B from anywhere in Cornwall ... we proceed to Mylor Harbour, Flushing and Falmouth. Sight-seeing en route and in Falmouth, including a look at Pendennis Castle (built by Henry VIII to repel the Spanish and scene of a long seige during the English Civil War 1642 - 1648) ... and on to Trebah Garden for their 10.00 o'clock opening.
Trebah is a spectacular 26 acre Cornish ravine garden, rated among the finest gardens in the world. This sub-tropical paradise is home to a unique collection of rare and exotic plants, trees and shrubs winding down to a private and secluded beach on the Helford River. Visit the website of Trebah Garden on www.trebahgarden.co.uk
 Allow between 1.5 and 3 hours at Trebah.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We continue towards Helston, passing alongside the most beautiful, mysterious and picturesque Helford River (scene of Daphne du Maurier's "Frenchman's Creek"). Depending on time, possibly visit The Lizard, Cornwall and England's most southerly point. Then stopping for lunch at somewhere appropriate ... your choice (probably a waterside inn) ... and after lunch, driving on and through Helston (scene of the Flora Dance on May the 8th every year for many hundreds of years), and heading for Trevarno Garden.
Trevarno garden is set in 60 acres. It has been a major restoration project including renovation of the walled Kitchen Gardens. There are rare trees and shrubs, a lake, a cascade, a rockery grotto, a pinetum and a Museum of Gardening. Vist the Fountain Conservatory ... which also acts as a tearoom! Visit the website of Trevarno Garden on www.cata.co.uk/trevarno.aspx
 Allow between 1.5 and 3 hours at Trevarno.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If time, energy and enthusiasm allow, return to Truro (or where you are staying) via the North Coast, visiting Chapel Porth, St Agnes Head and the Blue Hills (to complete your sight seeing for the day!) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Transport If other Cornish Gardens have more appeal, just let us know and these will be the ones we visit!
And if you'd just like to go to just one Cornish Garden - say The Eden project - we'll provide a PRICE QUOTATION FOR TRANSPORT FROM AND BACK TO YOUR HOTEL/B&B - ON REQUEST.
